With all that is going on at our house this year and a toddler in the house, I kept everything simple. I had this wreath and I just added ribbon that I purchased at the Nutcracker Market. I had the "S" from one of my Hobby Lobby runs. {Yes, my married name starts with an S. I loved the name my parents gave me because it was unique so I did keep my last name as another middle name.}Come on in shall we?
This is our entrance as you come in the front door. You know that I just had to show you another view of my snow angels...This is our dining room. I added ornaments to a hurricane vase and set it in a wreath. To add interest I added Santa and his reindeer. He doesn't go anywhere without them.
And here we have the Reason for the Season...
I didn't add all the animals this year. I was afraid that Monkey would pull them down.
Georgina is making this display look good. She is hanging out in one of our bedrooms. I painted these paper mache boxes and just tossed some ornaments around. You can never have enough color or bling.
Carrie inspired me to make my advent calendar. I found this frame at Goodwill and painted, stained it and then did a gold tinting on it. For the boxes I used scrapbook paper, then I embossed some gold glitter for the numbers and I added stickers. It had a fabric border on it that was just not working for me so I used my Martha Stewart glue on it. Again, you can't have enough bling...
I'll post about this calendar later. Stay tuned.I made this wall-pocket hanging. Originally it was going to be hung a different door but I thought it needed to be here since this door doesn't get much action.
This is in our game room. This room houses many stars so I thought that this needed a star in the garland. This star is actually our old tree topper. The garland should be a little longer but I didn't want Monkey to feel compelled to grab it.
This is our living room mantle. We do have stockings but I didn't want anything to "inspire" Monkey to pull them down on him.

As we move to the kitchen, I didn't realize how dark the pictures turned out to be. It wasn't that dark in the kitchen. Sorry...
I have a set of 3 Christmas trees that I set up on the bar. It's a tall bar so it looks really nice. These trees have vintage cookie cutters hanging on them and there is faux sugar drop garland on them. This is a tray of Christmas candy in the kitchen. It's always great to have a variety of candy for when people come over.
This is our butler's pantry. We always have back-door guests so I like to keep candy here for them when they come in or leave us. I put a plate of candies on my Southern Living cake stand. I always like to tie a ribbon around it. The plate is one that I painted a few years ago.
Thank you for visiting me! I hope you have a wonderful Merry Christmas! {No, I haven't been up all night. This picture was from a couple of days ago.} Come join me at these lovely ladies' parties!
Thank you Rhoda!

Thank you Julia!
