Oh NO he DIDN'T!!!

If I were to ask you what Christmas means to you, what would you say?  I am going to make a wild guess that your answer involves acts such as sharing and giving. Am I right? My sweet and thoughtful sister Mrs. M has the spirit of Christmas in her heart not just today but everyday. On Monday night, after working an 8 hour workday and commuting an hour home, she found it in her heart to come over and spread joy to us in the form of sweets. Mrs. M is so thoughtful that she made Reindeer Chow {the Chex Mix, Peanut butter, chocolate and powdered sugar dessert} and special cookies. She knew I would enjoy the mix and BBD would enjoy the cookies. How sweet, right?

This morning I thought that Monkey would love one of Auntie's cookies. I went to the pantry...

{I can't believe I am showing you this...}
Do you see cookies? No.

Do you see this? This is the Reindeer Chow...very accessible. That's because I share. But where are the cookies? Hmmm...that's strange. Let me look again...

Do you see them? I sure don't! I know that I'm short and I can reach no higher than the bottom shelf in this picture but they have to be here! I think I'll just lean against this shelf and think about it...

 Is that...? Could that be...

SON OF A NUTCRACKER!!
It is! I know BBD is tall but to put the cookies in the TOP FAR LEFT corner just seems so unnatural for somebody to just hide place them there. AHHH! I think he hid them from Monkey and me!!! Where is his Christmas spirit???

Stay tuned to find out what will happen next. I am so shocked and you just know that I'm not one to just get them down quietly...oh no. Well that's not entirely true...I'll do something quietly...Let me think about this for awhile. I could wrap them as a present, put a note in them...hmmm. There are so many possibilities. Do you have any suggestions?

  1. Take the cookies out of there, get some of that fake coal they sell and put that in there. Then figure out how to put the container back up there. A note inside might also be called for ~ something like "Gotcha".

  2. I like Kathy's idea! He is so naughty! (I hide the good treats myself)

  3. I have no good Ideas other than scarf them up yourself. But if you are like me you would gain 10 lbs and your hubby would win cuz he would be skinner than you. I cant wait to hear what you decide to do. What a stinker! Although I used to hide my mint milano cookies in the ceiling light.

  4. I'd follow Kathy's advice with the coal, AFTER I ate every stinking one of them ... chuckle!

    Merry Christmas ~

  5. Hi, Norma Lee! I do not think I've been over here to see you yet, so if I have not, it's SO nice to meet you. I'm very sorry about your health situation, but it doesn't seem to have affected your sense of humor. Girl, this is a funny post & I would be upset at having cookies hidden from me too. :) Too cute, I hope you make your point & I'm sure you will.

    Thanks SO much for joining my Christmas tour of homes. Yours looks beautiful, I scrolled back to look at everything. Gorgeous, love your lime green & red too. I hope you'll come back often & visit!
