Christmas Shopping and Ballard Designs

Sorry for the multiple posts today! I am just so excited to be back bloggin'! I am so excited it's December!! YEAH!! Did you take advantage of Black Friday/Cyber Monday etc.? I took advantage of Cyber Monday on Sunday. Shopping for Monkey, BBD's mother and grandmother, and my adorable 9 year old nephew are all done! Oh I probably shouldn't be cheering, that means I'm only half-way done.

I saw Brian Williams {he's so adorable} last night report that due to the economy and people's financial situations there was a BIG increase in online-sales this year as opposed to last year. I believe it! This is the first year I have done my Christmas shopping exclusively online. Online-shopping was the best option for me this year. I certainly don't need to be breaking any more bones lifting my 30lb. Monkey in and out of the Tahoe and shopping carts. I was so pleased with the savings that I will probably do this next year too! I just laid there on the couch with the laptop and "shopped" The Find and Amazon to find the best deals.

Now, I have to share something with you. I will warn you, you may experience various emotions such as joy, amazement, or even feel as if you've just found out the Toothfairy's secret. Yesterday, Mrs. M. sent me an email with an attachment of a piece of art she has been coveting at Ballard Designs (BD). Yes, we all love BD.

 Cute huh? It's a 34" sq canvas transfer. It sells for $249.00. Personally, I thought that was too much for a canvas transfer but keep in mind, I used to work for a group of decorators so I have an idea of what I would pay for art and what I'd pay for a canvas transfer. I couldn't stand it so I went to The Find and typed in the description, "seek happiness print." Look at one of the results:

Message reads "We tend to seek happiness when happiness is actually a choice." Mounted gallery-style on a 2'' stretcher bar and designed to hang as shown, without additional framing.

AVAILABILITY: In Stock. Ships in 1-2 full bus. days.
 {Above is all from World Market .}
 World Market was just one of the places that was selling it...cheaper. So I started thinking about the clock I really really want for our kitchen.

BD's clock retails for $229. You have to see for yourself what The Find found. Let's put it this way...I'd be saving some money.

Go ahead...check it out for yourselves. Ballard Designs, I still love you.

Hi Norma Lee! Your link for The Find {for the clock} wasn't working when I clicked on it. I love Ballard Designs, too, and whenever I can find something that is, at least, similar to something they have I'm thrilled! Although, I did just order two things from them that were on sale with a price that would have been comparable in a local store.

Great shopping detective work! I love almost everything Ballard sells and I do love that print. Wish I was a bit more artistic so that I could paint it for myself!
