Wow, I can't believe I'm actually blogging! And to think that just one year ago I didn't know what the heck a blog was. I've come a long way! My first blog experience was in January 2009. I was hosting a wedding shower for one of my sisters at my house and needed some ideas for tablescapes so I googled 'tablescapes' and stumbled upon Between Naps on the Porch. My life has never been the same. I have not had an original idea since then!
I will be very honest. If you would have told me one month ago that I would be 'blogging,' I would have laughed. Me?? I'm not even on Facebook! I wouldn't even know what to write about! I have lots of interest but interests doesn't mean talent or that I would be qualified for a blog. I never considered that I could offer anything "valuable" to the world. And let's be serious...who is going to let me "loose" on the internet? {ha ha}
All of that changed about a week ago. I was awake at 2:00a.m. and was feeling achy and uncomfortable. I was sitting in the game room and all of a sudden I started thinking about my health, life and all that my family and I have experienced this past year. *Ding Ding* It was like all of a sudden I realized that I do have a unique situation and my goodness, the world needs to hear about it!
That's when the idea for my blog was born. {My goodness...I had no idea how much blood, sweat and tears went into creating the actual blog! I have so much respect for my fellow bloggers out in blogland.} Once I thought of creating a blog I knew exactly what it would be about- two experiences that have changed my life and who I am forever...Multiple Sclerosis and motherhood.
I will be the very first to tell you that I AM NOT an expert about MS or motherhood. This blog is not about providing expert information. My goal is that I will be able to share with you the joys, difficulties and laughs of what my life looks like with multiple sclerosis,raising a toddler and the "everything" in between.
"Wow!" you say. "What do you want from me Norma?" So glad you asked! Please leave me comments and email me. Let's chat! I know that I will meet some great people and I really hope that I can connect with somebody who can relate to motherhood, multiple sclerosis or any of the other fun topics I will be blogging about!
{Since we are talking about blogs...please gimme advice on how to get people to read this...besides my mom.}
